Level 1 has 8 bedrooms [3 en suite; 1 double and 4 standard], assisted bathroom and toilet facilities.

Level 2 has 3 en suite bedrooms and the manager’s office.

All rooms in the home both communal and bedrooms meet the National Minimum Standards – see enclosed document. All rooms have a private telephone line connected to the main switchboard, outside TV aerial point (a TV can be provided on request), and a nurse call bell.

Wheelchair access to the home is via the side entrance, once within the home all communal areas and bedrooms are accessible to wheelchair users, including the enclosed patio at the rear of the building.

The home is tastefully decorated and a programme of maintenance is in place to ensure the standards remain high but homely. All equipment used in the home is serviced in line with requirements to ensure the safety of everyone.

We have specialist equipment in the home to cater for the individual needs of our service users. The manager will discuss your needs with you during your pre-admission assessment to ensure we have the correct equipment to meet your needs.

  • It is the primary concern of Glencoe Care Home to ensure that the quality of care provided to our customers is of the highest standard.

  • The surroundings in which the customer lives will be clean, comfortable and safe at all times.
  • They will have their dignity preserved at all times, be treated with respect and sensitivity to all individual needs and abilities. Independence will be encouraged to whatever level the customer is able.
  • All members of staff have a duty to keep these considerations uppermost in their minds when carrying out any tasks.
  • Relatives and / or representatives will be kept informed of any changes that occur with the customers care and / or health.
  • Every person who has dealings with the home, can expect to be treated fairly and without prejudice, no matter what their religion, creed or beliefs.
  • If at any time the customer or their family do not feel these values are being upheld, they are most welcome to discuss their concerns with the Registered Manager and / or Proprietor, so a satisfactory conclusion may be obtained
