The home provides the following services by bringing in outside
people – these are however charged directly to the customer and not
included in the fees.
Hairdresser - visits once a week. Price list on request.
Beauty Therapist - on request, manicures inc. polish
Massage Therapist - relaxing back, neck & shoulder massage, on
request
Dentist - visits when required. Customers not receiving benefits
will be charged
Chiropodist - visits monthly. Price list on request
Newspapers - delivered daily, billed monthly

If your surgery is not mentioned above then you will need to discus this
with the manager during your pre-admission assessment to arrange
registration with one of the above.

We also recognise the rights of the individual to decline from taking part in activities and to spend quiet reflective time if they so wish.
Customers are encouraged to continue with any hobbies they may have whenever it is possible and practical.
Family and friends play a vital role in the lives of our customers and we welcome visitors at any time – we do ask however if you are going to be visiting outside the hours of 8a.m. and 8p.m. prior warning is given, as our night staff are instructed not to open the external doors during these hours. Support of family and friends during organised activities is greatly appreciated and encouraged as we feel it gives you quality time together and also may give our customers more encouragement and confidence to take part.

We run a “trolley shop” once a week in the home, which allows customers to purchase toiletries, sweets, biscuits, tights, etc. of their own choosing. Any items not on the shop can be ordered and the home will do their best to obtain them. If a more extensive shop is desired it can be booked through our 'for that little extra comfort service;'
Visits to the home by customer’s clergy are welcomed.
Currently on Monday afternoons our 'knitting circle' congregates and our blankets are given to disaster funds. Trips out to a local garden centre for afternoon tea are also popular.
